Up until now Great Good Fine Ok has had one single and one remix holding us on by a thread. “You’re the one for me” has been just enough to keep me slightly obsessed. Finally, they have released their sophomore single and are ready to make their debut on Thursday at Westway at Neon Gold’s Popshop supporting Panama Wedding.
I’m going to give you a fair warning here that once you listen to this song, you’re not going to stop. It’s one of those. So just get ready for it to be on repeat all day and probably all weekend, and even when you’re not listening you’ll have the voice of Mandy Lee, front woman of MisterWives, stuck in your head. Out a little over a month ago, MisterWives’ REFLECTIONS EP has already been making waves in the altpop scene. My prediction, they’re going to be pretty big. Catch them at Westway next Thursday at Neon Gold’s PopShop supporting Little Daylight before they go on tour with The Mowgli’s.
New joint from Brooklyn-based indie-dance duo Michael Banks & Felix Feygin aka Chordashian. The silky smooth vocals are that of Frances Rose, two sisters from the one and only NYC. Bring the two (or four) together and you get this fun dancey track to get you through the rest of the week. Chordashian will be at LPR on Thursday to support The Knocks at their Comfortable EP release party.
Seen this name on some of our favorite festival lineups and had no idea who they were…they remained completely anonymous with no social media presence whatsoever, which did the deed of creating a little bit of hype for these guys. All the questions seemed to be answered today:
Who‘s behind Bleachers? John Antonoff of fun.
What label? Mission Sound based in BK.
When can we see them? For you New Yorkers: March 27th at Music Hall of Williamsburg, and Gov Ball 2014. More tour dates on their website.
Is it awesome? Pretty much. Very poppy, definitely can hear the relation to fun. Give it a listen and hear for yourself.
Big G has been releasing some new stuff as of late. Here’s Rad collaboration with another favorite, Cherub.
