I caught the end of Step Rockets’ set last night at Neon Gold’s pop shop and loved what was going on. These Minneapolis natives seem to have what it takes to dive right into the indie rock/pop scene and that’s exactly what they’re doing. Generally their sound plays with many different influences from alt rock to psychedelia and reggae. While maintaining a relatively low profile at first, even locally, this song ‘Kisser’ changed everything and is just the song that has and will gain them more recognition. You can catch them again this Sunday at Brooklyn Bowl opening for Cardinox and Strange Talk.
